Essence of True Salvation with Apostle Joseph Ziba
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9 (KJV)
One of the areas in which the devil has managed to deceive people is how to receive salvation. He has blinded their minds to think that salvation is the confession of their sins to God. But that’s not the Bible way of receiving salvation.
Actually, some people argue by quoting 1 John 1:9. From the verse they claim that God wants people to be saved by confessing their sins so that the blood of Jesus should cleans them. That’s erroneous.
You must understand that the Epistle of John was addressed to the believers— those who already received salvation. He said, “My little children, these things write I unto you…” (1 John 2:1). So to those ‘children’ John said if, perhaps, they sin and later realize they are wrong and confess, God will forgive them and the blood of Jesus will automatically clean them.
According to the opening Scripture above, salvation is simply the confession of your belief in Jesus Christ. When you stand and say, ‘Lord I am believing today and that without Jesus I am a sinner. Without Jesus I am going to Hell; but with Him I am saved, oh, Lord…’. That is enough! You’ve recognized Jesus as the Savior— that’s all what it takes— to look at Him as a Savior. By confessing your faith in Him, you are saved. It’s that simple.
If you haven’t received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior confess with me the following words from the bottom of your heart.
“Precious Lord, thank You so much for Your love for me. I am a sinner and I acknowledge that it is through Jesus Christ that you reconcile me to You. I believe and accept Him as my Lord and Savior today. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.”
Dear Father, I thank You for granting me the opportunity to receive Jesus into my heart by believing in His Gospel. The Gospel is the power to save all men, therefore, I am pledging myself that I will take it to the world that everyone may be saved. In the Name of Jesus. Amen!
